In hydroelectric power plant (HPP) projects, pipe installation works are generally realized in steeply inclined and rough terrain conditions. Because GRP pipes are much lighter than other products, they are easier to transport to, stow and install in such areas.
SUPERLIT pipes are delivered with one full-face® coupling preassembled at one end of the pipe. This provides remarkable advantages especially under such terrain conditions in terms of cost and required workmanship.
Operations carried out at high altitude areas may bring about low temperatures. SUPERLIT pipes and fittings allow installation in ambient temperatures down to -40°C.
While air temperatures varying in the summer and winter, day and night can modify the structure of other pipes, GRP pipes are more resistant to such heat changes thanks to the thermosetting resin used in their production.
