It is aimed to irrigate a total of 11 thousand 694 hectares of fertile agricultural land with the ongoing construction of Section 1 and the newly started construction of Section 2 of DSİ 7th Region Aşağı Çekerek 1st Merhale Project Zile, Maşat, Reşadiye, Çekerek and Mamure Plains Irrigation Project.

Within the scope of the 1st part of the project, construction works of the irrigation network of 759 hectares of land with 16 kilometres of #SUPERLIT DN3800mm diameter main pipeline are continuing.

For the 2nd part of the project, which was tendered by Toki, #Superlit quality was preferred again and installation works of DN3800mm diameter 16 atu resistant pipes are continuing. Within the scope of the 2nd Section construction; a total of 10.935 hectares of #agricultural land will be opened to irrigation with the laying of 55.859,83 m long main pipeline.

With 1 billion 310 million cubic metres of water to be stored in Süreyyabey Dam, it is planned to irrigate a total of 678 thousand 900 decares of land, including 65 thousand 760 decares in Yozgat, 176 thousand 650 decares in Tokat, 424 thousand 490 decares in Amasya and 12 thousand decares in Çorum.
