The Long Term Tests (Long Term Chemical Resistance Test and Abrasion Test) of GRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester) pipes, which are specially produced by SUPERLIT for Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) and have a design life of 70 years, were successfully completed under the supervision of TÜV AUSTRIA TURK, a Third Party Inspection Organisation.
The Akkuyu Delegation visited SUPERLIT Düzce Plant and examined the tests and results.
SUPERLIT is the only pipe manufacturer in Turkey capable of producing glassfiber reinforced polyester (GRP) pipes using three different technologies: 'Continuous Filament Winding', 'Centrifugal Casting', and 'Helical Filament Winding'.
