The Direktaş HEPP (Hydroelectric Power Plant) project, which is under construction on Hunut Stream in İspir District of Erzurum Province, includes 1100 metres of tunnel and 979 metres of GRP pipe after the tunnel. In addition to the 979 metres between the portal structure (tunnel exit point) and the branch, the net GRP pipe length to be used with 15 m spigot and 10 m concrete section inside the tunnel is 979 + 25 = 1004 metres.

To date, 750 metres of pipe has been laid in the project and installation works are ongoing. Direktaş Regulator and HEPP facility will operate with an operating capacity of 7.35 MWe when commissioned.
