With the partnership of Boğaziçi University and Superlit Boru Sanayi A.Ş. and the support of the Technology Transfer Office, an R&D project has been established to make the connection systems of GRP pipes more resistant to strong earthquake movements. Within the scope of this project, it is aimed to improve the behaviour of GRP pipes and connections, which can significantly tolerate ground movements thanks to their flexible connection system, in case of earthquake disaster and to equip them with superior features.

Within the scope of TUBITAK TEYDEB 1505 University-Industry Cooperation Project, the TEYDEB project titled "Design and Development of Connection System Providing Earthquake Resistance in Composite Pipelines" in partnership with Boğaziçi University and Superlit Boru Sanayi A.Ş. is supported by TÜBİTAK.

"Project Opening Meeting" was held on 14.02.2023 hosted by Boğaziçi University Technology Transfer Office with the participation of the entire project team. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Dr. Haluk Özener General Manager of Boğaziçi University Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute (KRDAE), General Manager of Technology Transfer Office Volkan Ozguz , Head of the Department of Earthquake Engineering Prof. Dr Ayşe Edinçliler, Head of the Department of Earthquake Engineering Prof. Dr. Ayşe Edinçliler, Associate Prof. Dr. Gulum Birgoren Tanircan , Superlit General Manager Turgay Aytekin and Superlit team.
