New Route for SUPERLIT GRP Pipes: Zimbabwe

May 2, 2018

SUPERLIT continues to serve Africa with its wide range of products and solutions. The pipes produced for the Harare - Emergency Water Supply and Sanitation Rehabilitation Project - Phase II (UWSSRPII) reached the construction site in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The project is financed by the Zimbabwe Multi-donor Fund (Zim Fund) managed by the African Development Bank. The UWSSRPII project involves the repair, rehabilitation and/or replacement of critical components to increase and improve safe water supply and sewerage capacity for Harare.

Approximately 5300 metres of GRP pipes were delivered for the project undertaken by Esor R.Davis Construction Joint Venture. The installation of DN400, DN600 and DN700 diameter pipes started with SUPERLIT's supervision service.

Within the scope of the project, the fact that the pipes produced by both centrifugal casting method and fibre winding method was an important factor in the preference of SUPERLIT, which is one of the limited number of manufacturers in the world that has both of these methods under the same roof.
