Shipments of GRP pipes produced for the "Harare - Urgent Water Supply and Sanitation Rehabilitation Project Phase II (UWSSRPII)" project in Zimbabwe, located in southern Africa, have started. The project will be SUPERLIT's first pipe export to Zimbabwe.
For the project, DN400, DN600 and DN700 mm diameter GRP pipes with PN 6 bar and SN5000 and SN10000 stiffness class were produced. Within the scope of the project, the fact that the pipes were produced by both centrifugal casting method and fibre winding method was an important factor in the preference of SUPERLIT, which is one of the very limited number of manufacturers in the world that has both of these methods under the same roof.
Within the scope of the project, approximately 5300 metres of GRP pipes will be supplied.
SUPERLIT is the only pipe manufacturer in Turkey capable of producing glassfiber reinforced polyester (GRP) pipes using three different technologies: 'Continuous Filament Winding', 'Centrifugal Casting', and 'Helical Filament Winding'.
SUPERLIT is a subsidiary of KARAMANCI HOLDING.
